As a patent attorney in Baton Rouge, the largest share of my work comes from the greater Baton Rouge area. With the exception of the time I spent working at the Patent Office and my three years as an Engineer at Monsanto in Luling, LA, I have lived in the greater Baton Rouge metro area my entire adult life and claim the Baton Rouge area as home. After graduating from the LSU Law Center and spending a year at the USPTO in Alexandria Virginia, I returned to Baton Rouge to start a solo law practice focusing on patents and intellectual property, ultimately joining one of the largest of the Baton Rouge law firms. After several years of patent practice in that firm, I returned to solo practice in 2012. I started Edel Patents LLC to achieve a better value proposition for my clients and to achieve a healthier work-life balance.
